What to have ready before you flash, and what CipherOS does and does not support.
Welcome to the CipherOS wiki. This page covers everything to settle before you install a build. Work through it once and the rest of the guides will go smoothly.
Before you begin
- Install the current ADB and Fastboot tools on your computer, along with the fastboot drivers for your platform.
- Unlock the bootloader on your device.
- Back up everything on the phone. Flashing can and does wipe data.
- Check your device page for the build you want. Not every build supports over the air updates.
About the project
CipherOS is entirely open source. The full source tree lives at github.com/CipherOS, and every change is auditable through our public commit history.
The project runs on community support. We collect no data and we sell no advertising, so donations are what keep builds coming. If CipherOS is useful to you, consider supporting the work.
